Currency Outlook for 28th October' 2013

USDINR trading range for the day is 61.66-62.39. Rupee ended flat as caution set in ahead of an expected interest rate hike by the central bank at its policy review next week. The Reserve Bank of India is widely expected to raise its key repo rate by 25 basis points on Tuesday. An interest rate hike could nonetheless dent sentiment by raising concerns about an economy already growing at its slowest pace in a decade.

EURINR trading range for the day is 85.03-86.17. Euro edged up as growing expectations for the Federal Reserve to delay scaling back its bond-buying program sent the greenback broadly lower. The preliminary reading of the euro zone’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index ticked up to 51.3 in October The euro zone services PMI fell to 50.9 this month from 52.2 in September.

GBPINR trading range for the day is 99.73-101.24. Pound was edged up hovering close to more than nine-month highs after data showed that the U.K. economy grew in line with expectations in the three months to September. The U.K. index of services rose more-than-expected last month, official data showed. GDP grew 0.8 percent sequentially in the third quarter, slightly faster than the 0.7 percent expansion logged in the preceding three months
